OUR FAMILY HISTORY
Owe and Sally Garnos live along the banks of Medicine Creek about 2 miles East of Presho, South Dakota. They have carried on the family tradition of ranching and farming near the original homestead that Gwen’s grandfather, Nels Garnos, filed on in 1890. In 1976 they built a new home overlooking the old homestead land and the new Medicine Creek Golf Course. Owen and Sally's children are daughter Gretchen, who with husband Morgan Hulinger, lives and works in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Son Quinten is engaged in ranching and farming with Owen, and son Cooper is teaching and coaching at Lyman High School. Cooper's wife, Mary Jo is a home health nurse in the Presho area. Two favorite "little" people in their lives are grandchildren Gayt Owen, age 3 1/2 (Quint's son) and Chesney Jo, age 2 (Cooper and Mary Jo's daughter).
For the past seventeen years the Garnos Ranch has also had commercial hunting on its land.
